An industrial photographer for your Adelaide site
Backlit Industrial is an industrial photographer for Adelaide construction, mining and civil businesses that need real site images, not stock photography. We handle inductions, PPE and site literacy up front, so a shoot slots into a normal working day instead of holding one up. A single day on site produces frames built to work across tenders, recruitment, sales material and LinkedIn, edited and captioned, ready to use. If you only need stills, the photo-only subscription is the simplest way in.

What a shoot day looks like
Before we arrive, we confirm inductions, PPE requirements and any site-specific rules, so there's nothing to sort out at the gate. On the day, we work around your schedule rather than pulling people off the job for a shot list. We're on your site, at your depot, or in your workshop, shooting the work as it happens rather than staging it.
A single visit is planned to cover more than one use. Before we pick up a camera, we ask what's in progress: a tender due, a project reaching a milestone, a piece of gear or a team worth putting on record. That's the brief. The photography follows it.
How the frames get used
Every set is edited and delivered ready to use: for a capability statement, a tender submission, the website, or a LinkedIn post. Nothing needs a second edit or a caption written from scratch. If a tender deadline is the reason for the shoot, the priority images are turned around first so they're in the document on time.
The same shoot can serve more than one purpose. A frame taken for a capability statement might also work as a recruitment image or a LinkedIn post: the crew in hi-vis and hard hats talking through a job, riggers at work, plant against the sky. One day on site, several uses.
Real sites, not a studio
The approach is documentary, not staged. On a 250T crane job in Adelaide CBD, the camera followed the crew through a closed-street set-up: PPE on, outriggers going down, a lift in progress, right through to night work under the lights. No handshakes, no stock-photo poses, just the job as it happened.
Site literacy matters as much as the camera gear. Knowing where to stand near a live lift, how to read a site induction, and when to get out of the way are as much a part of the job as the photography itself.
The photo-only subscription
For businesses that want professional images without ongoing video production, the photo-only subscription is from $1,100 per month. It's the simplest way to start building a library of real site photography, without committing to the full retainer straight away.
Photo volume scales with the package: Foundation covers up to 25 images a month from a single site or project, Growth up to 50 across multiple sites, and Platinum up to 80 across multi-site or flagship work.
What you receive
- Edited, publication-ready photos delivered ready to use
- Inductions, PPE and site access sorted before the shoot
- Images formatted for tenders and capability statements
- Recruitment and culture photography for hiring content
- Frames captioned and sized for LinkedIn and your website
- A photo-only subscription from $1,100 per month
- Full photo and video packages from $1,750 per month (Foundation, annual term)
You can see this approach in the crane services gallery and the crane lift photography on our work page, both shot on live sites. See the work
Before you enquire.
Do I need to organise site access or inductions?
No. We sort inductions, PPE and site-specific requirements before we arrive, so a shoot slots into the day instead of holding it up or getting turned away at the gate.
Will the shoot slow down the job?
We plan the visit around your schedule and shoot the work as it happens, not staged. Most shoots run inside a normal working day, without pulling crew off the task to pose for the camera.
Can the same photos be used for tenders and recruitment?
Yes. A single day on site is planned to serve more than one purpose: tenders, recruitment, sales material and LinkedIn from the same shoot, rather than four separate briefs for four different needs.
Do you charge extra for travel?
Travel and travel-related expenses, along with site inductions, training or access requirements outside the agreed scope, may be charged separately, and that's set out clearly before any work begins so there are no surprises later.
What if I only need photography, not video?
The photo-only subscription, from $1,100 per month, is built for exactly that situation: professional images without ongoing video production, for businesses that want a photography library without the commitment of monthly video.
